Last Friday, POWERBASEĀ held an online workshop to assess the needs of emergency response operations for mobile low-emission power supply.

The project“s partner organisations need low-emission power supply to set up bases of operation and emergency shelters for emergency operations under different circumstances.

Currently, emergency operations rely on diesel generators as the critical infrastructure is often damaged after a catastrophe. However, these diesel generators produce CO2 and other emissions, heat, noise and vibrations, and pose safety threats for workers and sheltered people.

The purpose of the workshop was to identify the operational and functional requirements for renewable energy solutions, as a first step towards innovativeprocurement.

We thank the organisers and POWERBASE partner organisations for their participation and input!
