From March 5-7, 2025, representatives from the Italian National Fire and Rescue Service (CNVVF), Roberto Summa and Sabato Anastasia, attended the KEY – The Energy Transition Expo in Rimini, Italy. This premier event showcased state-of-the-art technologies shaping the future of energy efficiency and sustainabilityāmany of which hold great potential for enhancing emergency response operations.
During the event, Summa and Anastasia engaged with industry leaders, innovators, and technology providers to explore advanced energy solutions that could support emergency responders in the field. As part of their participation, they introduced attendees to the POWERBASE project, an initiative dedicated to identifying and fostering mobile, low-emission power solutions for emergency services.
The event provided an excellent platform to discuss the goals of POWERBASE, emphasizing the need for reliable, self-sufficient, and sustainable energy solutions in emergency scenarios. Additionally, the representatives extended an open invitation to organizations and stakeholders to participate in the Open Market Consultation (OMC), a key activity within the project aimed at mapping existing technologies and gathering input from potential suppliers and end-users.
By engaging with experts at the expo, POWERBASE continues to advance its mission of preparing emergency response organizations for the next generation of energy-efficient and resilient power solutions.
