On Jan 24th, ASSR organised a Slovakian national POWERBASE workshop, bringing together key Slovakian emergency response organisations and industry stakeholders to discuss energy needs for disaster operations.
The workshop welcomed representatives from:
- Slovak Humanitarian Council
- Fire and Rescue Corps
- Volunteer Fire and Rescue Corps
- Slovak Electric Company
- CIMIC MoD
- SDI
- Fire Brigade – USAR + ETC
- Rental Company of Generators
Discussions focused on the challenges and needs for mobile, low-emission, reliable, and self-sufficient power solutions in emergency scenarios. Participants shared valuable insights on energy requirements for Bases of Operation and Emergency Shelters, particularly in the context of wildfires, floods, and earthquakes.
