The Austrian Red Cross, together with the federal branch of Carinthia, conducted its bi-annual national exercise, “Nock Alert 2025”. The POWERBASE project was also presented.

POWERBASE published Emergency Response Scenarios for needs assessment of emergency response organisations as a first step towards procurement of renewable energy technologies.

The POWERBASE consortium organised an online workshop for needs assessment of emergency response organisations for mobile power supply.

The POWERBASE consortium had its second GA meeting.

POWERBASE researchers Danai Kazantzidou-Firtinidou and John Tsaloukidis from KEMEA presented the POWERBASE project at the Nicosia Risk Forum 2024.

During the POWERBASE Kick-Off meeting, a first workshop on Scenario Definition was held. Project partners discussed three scenarios featuring different climatic and geographic regions, and layouts for bases of operations and emergency shelters were discussed.

The second day of the POWERBASE Kick-Off meeting featured talks by WP leaders on Dissemination and Communication and Preparation of Procurement. In addition, there were trainings on innovation procurement and the first part of the workshop on scenario definition was held. In the evening, the consortium visited a local chapter from the German Federal Technical Relief Agency.

The POWERBASE consortium came together in Frankfurt, Germany to meet and discuss our plans for the upcoming year: how to lay the foundation for future procurement of low-emission energy solutions by emergency response organisations.

We are excited to announce the launch of the EU funded POWERBASE project, which aims to provide the basis for future procurement of mobile, low-emission energy solutions by emergency response organisations.
